How to Get Your Emails Opened and Read Using the F-I-R Method!

Expert Author Wesley B Murph

Did you know that only 15% of emails get opened?

And of the emails that get opened, only 25% actually get read.

This means nearly 95% of email never gets opened and read.

Ugh!

But fear not, because in today's article I'll show you what can you to get your emails opened and read using the F.I.R. method.

Ready to see what that is?

1. Be fun.

The number one way to get your emails opened is to make them fun. This doesn't mean you need to be a comedian, or anything. But it does mean that people are sick and tired of getting hit by "serious toned" emails.

Just think about your mailbox. The metal one that the post office dumps letters into every day. Don't you dread getting bills and other serious stuff? Sure you do. But how do you feel about getting a magazine you like to read... or a personal letter from a friend... or something else that is fun?

So first and foremost, make sure you are that one email in your prospect's email box that puts a bounce in their step. Otherwise, you'll quickly get tossed into the junk email box.

2. Be Interesting.

This is different than being fun. It kicks it up a notch. It takes your email game to a whole new level. Because if your email recipient expects that you'll have something fun and interesting to say, what do you think they are likely to do with your email?

That's right.

Chances are they'll open it and read it.

Who doesn't like listening to someone that is both fun and interesting?

Truth be told these are the traits that most good actors and actresses have which is why the entertainment industry booms even while the economy tanks.

3. Be relevant.

Next up is being relevant.

This is when you say things your prospect wants to hear. So let's say you own a pet business (like I did) then you'd never send your prospect an email about building a new house because it's not relevant to why they came to you. In this case, they'd want to hear something about their dog or cat, and not their house.

Make sense?

So there you have it.

Three ways to get your emails opened are read are:

1. Be fun.

2. Be interesting.

3. Be relevant.

One last thing:

If you own and operate a small business and are serious about growing it, then what's holding you back? That's right. Good information. Truth is you may be one idea away from having a breakthrough. But you must be careful who you turn to for those breakthrough ideas. Can I help you? Maybe... maybe not. To decide go to my website which is located in my author's box below.
