First you need to ask yourself these questions, before buying any product:

*Is the product safe for my cat?

*Is the product safe around children and adults?

*The product must be inexpensive!

Having a cat as a pet and companion is one of life's special times. I was raised in a cat lovers family and always have been around cats. My favorite was "sheba" a quit large female who just loved to curl up on your lap and purr, purr, purr. And I can remember those times when our home smelled like a giant litter box. Mom would always be able to get rid of cat urine! Here's how she did it!

How to get rid of cat urine:

*On linoleum and hardwood flooring she would mix a solution of 3 parts warm water and 1 part vinegar and mop the floor 1 or 2 times as needed. (remember to open a window for ventilation)

*If there was cat urine on clothes or bedding she would add a ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar when she washed the items.

*We didn't have any carpet but we had small place mats on the floor I can remember mom needed to clean dads favorite mat in front of his chair. This is what she did, mix a 3 part water 1 part vinegar and soak the affected spot down, dry completely. When the spot was dry she would put some baking soda over the affected area then make a mixture of hydrogen peroxide approx ¾ cup of 3% solution hydrogen peroxide and added a teaspoon of dish wash soap, she would sprinkle this on top of the baking soda. Then it was scrubbed with a small brush and let to dry, then it was vacuumed up. Works like a charm.

*Always keep the cats litter box clean,it helps to keep it in a out of the spot with some ventilation.

*Remember to keep old messes thoroughly cleaned, cats have a super sense of smell and will want to pee where there is odor of urine from a previous spot and will want to keep peeing there until they can no longer smell it! So how to get rid of cat urine, try some of these cleaning tips used by my mom.

Good luck and remember its not your fault!

If your like me I still love cats but don't have and time to clean up messes! I've discovered some really good solutions to cat urine odor problems. I would like to share them with you. Here's the link to my site Cat Urine Odor
