How to Get People to Join Your Business - Your Mindset is More Important Than Your Marketing!

What came first, the chicken or the egg? That's a question that can't be answered. Or maybe it depends upon your personal beliefs on how things all started.

What is more important in growing a home-based business or a network marketing organization? Is it mindset or is it marketing. Back to the chicken. OK, the chicken came out of the egg, but the egg also came out of the chicken. So that one can't be figured out. But when considering mindset and marketing, you can get marketing out of a great mindset, but you can't get a great mindset out of marketing. The mindset must come first.

Mindset is personal improvement, personal growth, and personal development. The transformation of the mind to accept the fact that you can win in life. You can win in business.

One of my mentors told me that it is easier to be rich in this nation than it is to work for someone else for 40 years. He went on to explain that there is simply not very much competition. People will not pay the price to know what they need to know in order to get where they want to go.

It is that simple. If you're looking at starting or if you working a home-based business or network marketing company, I guarantee that you will not become successful or you will not make a significant amount of money, you will not recruit a significant number of people until you first change the way you think. You cannot shortcut this. If you don't take the time to develop your mindset, you cannot prosper long term. Don't skip this. This is the most beneficial, transforming step. Because it sets you on course through a process. I don't think the process ever comes to an end. But when you get to a certain point in the process you realize that you are not the same person that you were when you started the journey. This is the process that brings the metamorphosis that changes wimpy insecure people into confident self assured individuals. Your momma will still recognize you, but if you started on this journey of self improvement and didn't see momma for a number of months, and you progressed on this self improvement journey, she would say, "Who are you"?

You must invest in you first. If you can't think successful thoughts, you can't have success. I believe in attraction marketing. But my definition of attraction marketing is simple. If you know something that other folks want to know to become successful or effective, then you become attractive to other folks. It is the knowledge that is the power. Knowledge when it is communicated is a magnetic force. Especially if the people receiving the information see that it is effective and/or powerful.

If you're given a choice of five different restaurants to eat lunch, are you going to choose the mediocre one?
Given the choice of 5 different people to hire, are you going to pick the mediocre one?
When you do a search on Google are you looking for some information that is average or mediocre?
Nobody in their right mind is going to choose mediocre in any of the above choices.

But the powerful question is: are you settling for a mediocre life? Do you have a mediocre job?
You win big when you refuse to settle for average or mediocre. People talk about the winners in life and the winners in business. People don't talk about the average folks.
You do not achieve success and then have no further challenges in your life. Life will have its struggles from the cradle to the grave. The goal is to have a bunch of good runs down the ski slope before the sun goes down.

All winners have a positive persistent mindset in common. Great athletes, leaders in business all think differently that ordinary people. The possibility of failure is always there. But the focus on it is minimized, because they concentrate on success.

When you're talking to people don't ask them to do you a favor. Your mindset should be that you are doing them a favor. They should need you a whole lot more than you need them. When you are interviewing a person you mind set should be that it's your way or the highway. Whoever is asking the questions is in control. Don't be rude, but stay in control of the conversation. You ask them questions. Don't let them take control of the conversation.

Don't waste your time on the wrong people. When I started to not need to sponsor people is when they began to say yes to me. People join you because of you. In the eyes of the folks that come into your business you are perceived as the leader. Act like a leader would act. Talk the way a leader would talk. Then you can expect the results that a leader should expect.
