How to Get People to Join Your Business - The Power of Personal Belief

Why is it that the eagle flies? It's because he was designed to fly and because he can fly. If you're continually working on improving yourself (personal development), you will reach the point where you believe that you can fly. You'll have confidence when it comes to the recruiting/prospecting process and you'll see folks join you.

The eagle would never leap out of his/her nest to fly unless they first believed that they could fly. Belief is everything. You're not going to see success in prospecting until you think that you can prospect. Self confidence is a magnet that attracts others. Folks don't join businesses, they get connected to people that are successful, or at least are destined for success.

Of course, that's exactly what you are doing in network marketing. We're attracting the recruit to us, the kind of people that we want to work with, and people that want what we have. The recruit will look at the opportunity and what is has for them. If the recruit "sees" the potential in the opportunity, then they move forward.

We are in a really unique business in the fact that we can go on an out earn the people that brought us in. We can work harder, work smarter or just be plain lucky and out earn the folks that recruited us. In turn the folks that we lead into the company can out earn us. That should really be our goal. If you are wise, you'll train your people better than you were trained. If enough of the people that you bring in earn more than you do, then you'll make a lot of money off of their success. Isn't that a great concept?

How much success you've had to date in your work at home business is less important than people realize. You can be brand new in a brand new home-based business opportunity, if this brand new opportunity is something you believe in and it looks like it's destined for success, then you're going to have a lot of people attracted to you. We are not limited by the success or lack of it from our upline or down line. We can only limit our access to success by not continuing our self improvement, marketing education and implementing those two things.

Now focus for a minute with me. Your belief should be pointed at the potential of the opportunity that you have, and the potential that it can have upon the people that you present it to. This is the foundation of how you look at prospects or recruits in terms of your specific opportunity. If we really believe in our opportunity and its potential, and we see what kind of impact on the lives of those that we present this opportunity to, that should provide us with a lot of passion.

When you have an opportunity that you believe in no matter what your personal success has been or how quickly or slowly you've gone. That will provide the passion to drive you to do what you need to do to attain success for yourself and those you work with.

Attending company events is critical. Nowadays there are some folks that have their business on total autopilot. Folks go to a capture page, get on an autoresponder, they're directed to the company website, and they join their network marketing company. All with no human contact!

That's all great but network marketing is still net work. If you don't get connected in the net, how can the net work?

Going to company events makes the experience of the company more real. When you hear the leadership of your company speak and you realize how sharp they are, it gives you confidence. You can see what the experience of the business is doing in the lives of others in the business. You hear what impact the product or service has had upon the lives of others. You see others attaining success, and sometimes you tell yourself, if they can do it...so can I!

Belief is the foundation of working with your prospects. It's the secret sauce. Your belief from inside you, gets projected out to others. Others can sense this. They are attracted by strong personal belief. Sometimes folks can be attracted even though they might not agree with some of your personal beliefs. Personal belief sets you apart. This is the attractor factor. It makes people focus. They turn their head, and they look at you.
