How to Build a List Using Facebook

Expert Author Sean R Mize

If you're currently not using Facebook in your internet marketing campaign, let me tell you now that you're missing so much sales opportunities. Did you know that this site attracts millions of people on a daily basis? In fact, a huge percentage of users start and end their days logging in to this site. Just imagine... if you can just tap at least a small percentage of that. I'm pretty sure you'll meet your sales goal in no time.

But don't worry as it's never too late. In here, I'll teach you how to use Facebook not just to drive traffic to your site but also to build and later on, boost your email marketing list. Here's what you need to do:

1. First step is to build your Facebook fan page. This is much better for business owners like you compare to regular Facebook account. This will allow you to promote your business to your potential clients. All you need to do is find ways on how your prospects will "like" your fan page. After that, you can easily feed these people with information (more on that later) and build relationship with them. Attract as many qualified prospects as possible to boost your chances of multiplying your list in no time.

2. Share your in-depth knowledge. Before you go ahead and convince your prospects to sign up to your list, give them reasons to do so first. Give these people valid reasons to like, trust, and respect you. As often as possible, create articles that reflect your in-depth knowledge in your niche and your commitment in helping your target audience. Talk about their most common struggles in life, their common problems (those that you can solve), and their burning questions. Then, encourage these people to comment on each of your posts. Then, take the opportunity to talk to them personally. Ensure that your replies are well thought-out, warm, and witty.

3. Upload videos. Take time to create informative videos and post them on your Facebook wall. Based on experience, people respond really well to these. Talk to your audience and give them exciting information. If possible, offer them with how-to guides, expert advice, and answers to their burning questions. Talk as if they're in front of you. Be bubbly, enthusiastic, and accommodating. You would want them to see you as somebody who's not just an expert but friendly as well. I would suggest that you keep your videos short but entertaining.

4. Expose the link to your squeeze page. Each time you write an article or create videos, make sure that you find ways to send your "fans" to your squeeze page. To boost the number of your subscribers, make the process of signing up as hassle-free as possible. Offer freebies and promise these people that you're not going to spam them. After getting their email address, send them even more amazing information through email. Make these people happy and they'll surely recommend you and your business to their friends and family members.
