Material handling is a big part of a successful industrial operation. Both the manufacturing and distribution industries rely on moving materials quickly and efficiently. Forklifts fit that bill perfectly and a well stocked fleet makes warehouse management a much easier task. Having a persistent presence with sales reps, service technicians, and a warranty or service plan makes a purchase a lot less risky.

Dealerships can tend to run on the more expensive side for their vehicles due to all of the above amenities. Overhead costs will be higher for a professional dealer than a private seller. If the extra options are not necessary, for example when expanding an existing fleet, than a dealership might not be the best option.

Direct Connection With Sellers

Finding the right lift at the right price requires a wide selection. If a local dealership cannot offer the right vehicles, finding another lot can require a lot of travel. Connecting with private owners and sellers through the internet can be a more efficient way to see a wide selection of forklifts to satisfy any fleet demands.

With the click of a button, it is easy to compare models, prices, and options directly. Finding the best deal can often be about finding volume. It is much easier when you can cast a wide net to find a good deal rather than having to barter with a salesman. The overhead on online listings is also much lower than a dealer, as a result, many of the best prices are found online. Considering that private owners may also be willing to liquidate used forklifts below cost and the price tag is very attractive. For no-frills purchases, online directories are a powerful tool.
