As a woman entrepreneur, you need a Dream Team to bring about your success quicker and more easily than you could do on your own.
Here, we are looking at bringing an additional dimension to the more traditional 'job requirements, resume response, interviewing' selection process.
The following are the 3 key Dream Team Requirements...
Requirement #1: Right Attitude
According to Hansen and Allen, authors of The One Minute Millionaire, the first critical thing to look for in a future team member is Attitude!
What you want are people who are dedicated, committed and joyful. You want team members who bring the spirit of contribution to the group.
Pick enthusiastic people who want to grow with you and become all that they can become.
These people will be your cheerleaders, whilst also giving you sound advice about what could be done differently to achieve even better results. They will energize and empower you!
Better yet, you will be able to achieve more in less time with a dream team that leverages you entrepreneurially, financially, emotionally and spiritually.
Requirement #2: Shared Vision & Values
Your values and beliefs form the bedrock of who you are and you will not be able to work successfully with a team member who does not embrace the same values and beliefs as you.
Imagine working with somebody who does not have integrity as a core value! It just would not work.
Be clear about what these core values and beliefs are and, if you subsequently observe that a team member does not possess them, or is not willing to change, then they are not the one for your team.
Be clear and strong on this critical aspect.
Requirement #3: Start With Yourself!
First, identify your own strengths.
This is because you will be looking for team members who will have complementary abilities, not those who have similar ones!
The key is to hand over the jobs that you hate. These are the jobs that entail working on things for which you have no aptitude (innate), skill (acquired) or liking, to someone who loves to do those things and is good at them!
This becomes the perfect win-win situation, where everyone gets to do what she or he loves to do best!
The HOTS!
Hansen & Allen have a terrific, and unique, process for identifying your strengths and those of your dream team members.
This process will enable you to make sure that you and your team are not only doing what you each do best, but that each team member has the strengths required in the areas needed for success.
They call this team process HOTS!
Intriguing, right?
I'll tell you what it stands for and where to get the free diagnostic instrument in my next post. Stay Tuned!
So why do you think it is essential to have a Dream Team supporting you in your entrepreneurial journey?
