The biggest question I get asked is do I need my own website? Now that is a good question. Yes, you do need to have your own website. I guess it depends on what kind of site you are wanting to create. If you're wanting a typical blog site for personal use, such as for your friends and family to visit, than a free blogs site would be fine. If you're trying to sell a product online, then you definitely need to invest just a little money to have your own website.
The advantages of having your own website, is having full control over the site. You will be able to control everything you want on your site such as, videos, pictures, content and monetize it any way you see fit. If you don't own your website and you are using a free site then you will have little control over your site. For example, the owners of the website will tell you what you can put on the site and you don't have a choice. They also will put ads on your site that's how they make money by allowing you to have a free site.
If you were serious about wanting to start an online business then you should be willing to spend just a little money not much. An online business as with any business takes a little money to make money, but online business takes far less money than a regular open-door business. The investment that you make online for your business is way less than it would be for any other business.
Internet marketing is relatively new, still in its infancy, If you are willing to learn a few skills and put in the work then this business can be very rewarding.
I still remember when I first started in is this business, of Internet marketing. I was asking all the same questions you're probably asking now. Can I make my own website for free? Do I need my own website? How do I begin online? All of this seemed overwhelming. There was so much information on the Internet I did not know which one to choose. I found myself buying all kinds of products that were supposed to help me start an online business, but I found out the hard way through trial and error of how to do make my own website.
