How To Make Highly Scented Candles That Aren't Poisonous!
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

Candles can craft a sense of warmth, drama, or romance conditional on how you wish to use them. Your options for decorating with candles are limited only by your imagination. Candles can be an exciting option to add to a room. They can add scent as well as mood.

Candles can be used burnt to stand for fire, or to bear an intention. They can be anointed with oils, or rolled in incense or scented, to transmit the specific aim.

Candles can help set the ambiance and mellow the mood for any area, and time and again their beneficial scents can offer a dose of aromatherapy. Since a lot of candle companies contain dangerous ingredients in their aromatic candles, such as lead or zinc, paraffin wax or synthetic wicks, numerous companies have begun to offer cleaner burning, extra natural candles.

Candles can be customized in many ways. Sometimes it's the scent and colour combination or the dimension of the candles that matter.

Candles can be made in just about any shape, from ball candles to long, skinny tapers. There are also complicated molds in every appearance thinkable. Candles can be used in different ways around the house; like perfumed candles can be used in the bathroom. At a dining table, candles give a romantic and elegant ambience. Candles can be accented with a variety of items such as flower petals, small blooms or seashells. Dried flowers pressed into the wax of the candle offer a further alternative.

Traditionally, candles are paraffin-based, which is made from non-renewable petroleum. Paraffin is a petroleum by-product of oil refining, and most bouquet oils used for candle making are petroleum-based synthetics. The soot from these materials can contain carcinogens, neurotoxins and reproductive toxins. Paraffin is a derivative of petroleum, and once burned, they release poisons such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and soot into the air. These paraffin and fragrant candles can also trigger allergic and asthma-like reactions such as sore throat, itchy and watery eyes, headaches, and skin irritation.

Soy candles are non toxic, water soluble, biodegradable and considered to be the healthy choice of candles. The jars clean up clearly with soap and hot water. Soy candles are good for the ecosystem. The wax is biodegradable. Soy candles are nontoxic and non-carcinogenic because they burn clean and are Soot-free. They have a tendency to burn cooler and more uniformly, making them last nearly 50% longer then paraffin candles.

Soy candles are also much cheaper than beeswax candles, since soy wax can be readily and easily produced to meet demand. The ecological advantages of soy candles can be enhanced with the addition of recycled packaging and eco-friendly wicks made from recycled materials. Soy candles are all natural and do not contain any poisons, thus very little soot will come of them.

Soy candles last 30 to 50 percent longer than traditional candles. Soy candles are long-lasting with burn times ranging from approximately 20 hours (for the 4 oz size) to 45 hours (for the 8 oz dimension). Soy wax is gentle, non-deadly, and easy to clean up with a superior scent throw.
