Are you in a rush? Is your wedding coming up, and you need to learn how to make a wedding bouquet fast?

Then this article might be one of the most useful things you ever read...

Many people think that wedding bouquets are complicated, and take hours to make.

Whilst it's true that a large posy bouquet can take a lot of effort and time to make- there are wedding bouquets that you can make much quicker.

If you don't want a complicated bouquet, then it is practical to make your own bouquet, in around 15 minutes.

Although simple, fresh flowers on their own stems, which are then hand-tied in a bouquet, can be quite stunning, and you can show-off and tell everyone you made them yourself!

You will need...

  • 11 long stemed red roses( or roses from your garden)
  • A small bunch of fern or large leaves.
  • Approximately 10 feet of ribbon.
  • Stem tape

Step 1: Prepare the roses and leaves

If the roses have any leaves or thorns then you will first need to remove these.

If you are using fern leaves then strip the leaves from about half way down the stem.

Step 2: Arrange the roses...

Start by placing the roses into a vase.

Then just pick the roses up as one bunch very close to the heads of the roses.

Place a small piece of stem tape to hold them in place.

Step 3: Add the leaves to the wedding bouquet...

Now start adding your leaves around the outside of the roses.

Overlap the leaves slightly as this will give a slight fanning effect to the bouquet.

Because the flower are on natural stems they can't be pulled around or fanned out as this would cause the stems to break.

So we overlap the leaves to give the illusion of fanning.

Once all the leaves are added then place another small piece of stem tape to hold them in place.

Step 4: Prepare the bouquet handle...

To tie this altogether start at the top (near the roses) and make sure you cover the tape.

Now come down the stems in a criss-cross pattern. You only need to come about half-way down.

Go back up to the stems in the same way and then tie-off the ribbon at the top in a big bow.

To finish off, just make sure all the stems are level.

If they are not just trim them with floral scissors.

That's it! If you're happy with a uncomplicated and simple wedding bouquet, then you already know everything you need to make your own!
