So many time people do mistaking being in love with being infatuated. When a girl is waiting for her prince charming it is not real love, it is better called infatuation, and there is a vast difference between that and real love.

Firstly, Infatuation is a felling; why real love involves Commitments. Infatuation is just love of emotion. Real love, though, is love of devotion. Only the emotions are affected in infatuation, but in real love both the emotions and the will are involved.

Secondly, a person 'falls into' infatuation, but 'grows into' real love. Guys, have you ever seen a girl who is so beautiful that you thought you would faint? As soon as you saw her, you could hardly swallow, your heart started beating fast, and all you could think about is meeting her. Girls have you ever gone to class and discovered that their was this new guy there who was the most handsome guy you have ever seen? You did not hear a thing the teacher sad that whole class period because all you could think was that good-looking guy. This is all infatuation; it is some thing that can strike instantly. It is based totally on physical attraction; often you have never even meet the person you are infatuated to.

Thirdly, infatuation is basically selfish where real love is basically selfless. In this analysis, infatuation is more interested in satisfying itself and the 'felling' than it is in the other person. Infatuation is 'in love with love' rather than in love with other person.

Real love, through is primarily interested in the other person. It seeks to give instead to get. Love unselfishly seeks the highest good for the other person. Love is a four-letter word spelled G-I-V-E. This mean that you are deeply concerned about the person, even to the point of sacrificing your interest in favour of his or hers.

Please don not get me wrong. I am not saying that infatuation is bad. As a matter of fact, it is very pleasurable. You can not prevent your self from being infatuated at times, since infatuation is mostly biological. My point is that you should be able to recognize it for what it is when it strikes. Don not call it love-call it infatuation.
