How To Grow Dwarf Orange Trees Within Large Pots

So, how can you grow oranges inside your house? Growing oranges within containers can easily be achieved. To be able to do that you can use dwarf orange trees. These trees are designed to grow to only certain heights.

So, how can you achieve this?

  • You need to get a pot that is twice the size of your dwarf tree's pot.
  • Drainage holes of the container need to be covered with shad.
  • After you lay the shad, you need to pure all-purpose soil on top (only 1/3 of the pot).
  • You need to take the tree out from its original container. You need to make sure all the roots outside the root ball need to be removed.
  • The next step is to gently remove the tree and place it to its new container, which we specified the dimensions above. When you putting the tree within the new container, make sure it is centred.
  • You need to make sure the dwarf orange tree is not planted deeper than before as this will kill the tree. That is why you need to make sure to fill the pot with soil before putting the tree in there.
  • Watering is the next important step to make sure your dwarf orange tree stays healthy. You need to be sure that tree doesn't stand in the water and only water the tree when the top part of the soil is dry.
  • Make sure to fertilise your dwarf orange tree with the one that is high in hydrogen. You need to fertilise your tree only once a year during spring.
  • The best ideal environment to grow oranges is humid surroundings. So, with use of a humidifier, you can easily achieve this.
