Innovation is the life-source of your business. Without the finding of new ideas and development of new products, even traffic may dry up as they see the same few products over and over again. Things can always be improved and customers always want to go further.
Brainstorm the heck out of every idea you have. Of course, you can brainstorm and mindmap ideas at first. But then take each idea and take it as far as you can. You can, for example, try to imagine it bigger or minituarised, simplified or made complex, sell it as an individual product or have it linked with others in some kind of pattern.
Give your business a story. As a young child, did you have to imagine the life of an object, such as a dollar, and what happened to it? Take an imaginary customer through from your free stuff to being a high ticket customer. What's their experience and how could it be better? What else would they have wanted and might even have been disappointed because it wasn't available?
Use try-outs. Record someone trying out your new product. See and hear what problems and good qualities there are. Don't just depend on what others tell you who you've given the product to for a while. Actually get live information so you can improve the product. Also, try out on a small scale first. For example, for a new ecourse, let some on your list try part of it for free first. Get their feedback and use it for improvement.
Search out ideas that are live now. Go to where people are expressing their frustrations, anger, hopes about doing business on the internet. See what questions are being repeatedly asked. You can also offer to interview them to get more information from them about their concerns. You can create a product for which they should be rewarded for their part in helping you to generate ideas.
