I have met people who have been living in houses unfit even for animals by vastu standards. I have analysed their mental and physical health before and after they implemented the principles of Vastushastra. The results have been striking.

As India lies in the northern hemisphere, the North Pole influences us greatly. This magnetic current charges the iron content in our hemoglobin. That's why, it is important to sleep with the head in the south, so that the brain gets the requisite rest from charged blood flow. On the other hand, while studying or working we must face north, as this activates our brain, resulting in efficient and productive thinking.

This is because brain cells are activated toward both poles, which results in indecision, and erratic and irrational behavior. Countries at the equator witness maximum upheaval, due to the aggression and chaotic behavior of the people. On the other hand the uniform pull exerted by the North Pole on the northern hemisphere acts in a positive way on people's thinking, leading prosperity.
Vastushastra utilizes this magnetic pull to improve our mental and physical ability. So powerful is magnetic pull in our lives that it can also be used to heal people and is one of the approved alternative medical therapies. You cannot ignore it!
