How To Build A List Using Articles and Blog Posts

So you want to build a list with your articles and blog posts. Well, anyone could tell you that this is where the money is at... but few can teach you how. In order for you to build a list and increase your online sales, you're going to have to do something above and beyond what most internet marketers are doing today... and if you ever hope to establish yourself as an expert, you're going to have to put in some work.

You see, you could build a list doing so many different things... but the trick is to find the ones that work the best. The methods that I have tested are writing articles and creating blog posts. Not only are these techniques great for building lists... but they also play a big role in whether or not people will trust you. And that's where establishing yourself as an expert comes in. You see, if you don't have some type of credibility online... people will not know if you're capable of meeting their needs.

So if you really want to get their attention... you need to target their wants, needs and desires. You'll want to focus on writing about their problems... their struggles in life. This is what really separates you from the average article writer online. Once you have a pretty good idea of what they will want to learn or get help with, you'll need to create some titles that target those specific things. It's kind of like a magazine title... gets their attention and gains their trust in your business.

Now you'll want to impress them in some way. It's up to you to make them happy... solve their problems... give them guidance in their time of need. If you can do these things, building a list will be fairly easy. I suggest that you focus on providing very unique content that is extremely useful in many ways. If you can come up with a hot topic that few marketers have tapped into yet... you're on your way to building big targeted lists. Trust me!

I find that the quickest way to gain the trust of your prospects is to share some of your experiences with them. What did you do to accomplish a certain task... how did you learn about it, what did you do to get your blog content on the first page of Google, etc... Answering these questions for your readers is definitely worth it.

As far as where you should distribute your articles... I suggest that you stick with the top three article directories. These are: EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com and Articlebase.com. Make sure that you do not submit to more than five directories. Believe it or not... this will cause most of your articles to be flagged for duplicate content. So stick with the ones I've listed and you'll see some more subscribers quickly.

Now for you blog posts... I tend to be very wild with these. I'll share them on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Digg, and any other social media site I can find. When sharing your blog posts, you don't have to worry about the duplicate content rule because you're just sharing it with real people... not search engines. Your results will depend on the amount of value you create with you content.

Make sure that you are sending all of these people to your lead capture page. The methods above will work in increase your list size. You'll see!
