How Playing Video Games Can Add New Customers To Your Small Business!

Expert Author Wesley B Murph

Do you own a small business?

Are you investing money every month to advertise whatever you sell?

Would you like a way to build a back-end stream of revenue so you can have positive cash flow come the first of every month?

If so, then in this short article I'll show you an idea I picked up from playing video games (of all things) that will give you a unique perspective on how to add new customers to your small business.

Here's a story to explain:

I love my wife.

I really do.

There are many reasons for this. But one that comes to mind right away is the fact that she always keeps me on my toes. Take for example this past Christmas. My wife asked me several times what I wanted. And each time, I kept telling her, "Honey, don't worry. I got everything I want. Just get me a shirt or a sweater or something. Keep it simple."

Did she take my advice?

Heck no.

My wife is too savvy for that. So flash forward to Christmas day, when everybody is opening presents, and I expect to get a T shirt or something from my wife. Next thing I know she plops a big box in my lap, and tells me to be gentle while opening it.

Did this fire up my curiosity, or what?

So I tear off the wrapping paper being careful I don't damage what's inside.

And staring at me is a PlayStation 3.

Never in a million years did I ask for, or expect to get a video game console for Christmas. In fact, I've harked for years about not letting video games into my house since they do nothing but rot your brain.

But what choice did I have but to play with my wife's gift?

But there was a problem:

You see, playing video games now days is no easy task. You'd think you just pop in your game. Press the "start" button. And you're set. But that's not how it works.

In fact, Sony has you log on to their gaming system where you can download games.

So I do this.

And what's cool is they let you download a demo game before buying it.

What this means is that you get to play as many games as you want (for a period of time) to see if you want to buy them. And just at the point where you get "hooked" is when the game shuts downs and asks you for a credit card number.

This is brilliant.

And it's what you should be doing in your small business too.

How so?

Let me explain: The name of the game is giving your prospects a "taste" of what you do so they want more. This is a fine line because you don't want to give them everything. Just a smidgeon. And if what you got is really that good, then they'll want to buy the whole darn thing.

Kind of like me playing those video game demos.

When it's good I want to buy the entire game.
