Rubber has revolutionized many of our industries, the most notable one being the vehicle industry. Even though the material was a blessing as rubber tires increased the efficiency of our vehicles, it had a dreadful side effect in the form of used and discarded rubber tires, which are not bio-degradable, getting accumulated across our landscapes.

The invention of rubber mulch has almost put an end to this problem. Mulching has been a preferred farming practice in farming. Leaves, tree barks, wood shavings etc were used as ground cover, but mulches formed by cleaning and granulating used rubber tire treads trumped all other mulches in just a few years. Being non-biodegradable, they proved to be a barrier against pests, weeds, erosion etc, which normal mulches could not do.

The material is now available in different colors and shapes and can be put to use in a number of areas. It is not just a ground covering agent now. It has forced its way into playgrounds, horse racing arena, parks, home gardens etc due to its proven versatility and endurance power. In the racing field, the material is increasingly used as arena footing to provide sure footing to horses and act as a cushion in case of falls or accidents. The military is also using the material in their training fields.

Rubbermulch has, as such, not only saved our environment, but has helped the farmer save money on insecticides and pesticides, the home gardener to decorate his drab garden well, the horses and jockeys from breaking their limbs and the military to save its soldiers from fatigue.
