How Do You Know You Have a Mind?

Expert Author Dr. Alan Paul Supplee

Mind over Matter

How do you know you have a mind?

At first thought you would say, "Because I think, I must have a mind." Some might argue that it is your brain doing the thinking. Well strangely enough, both the mind and the brain are doing the thinking, since they both reside in the body. Therefore, both theories are correct. If you were to take your body and break it down to the core essence of who you are, you would be aware all of your cells, atoms and molecules, and you would be aware that between all these cells, atoms and molecules, there is space or gaps if you will. As a point of fact, there is space in all matter. This space is vibratory energy and makes up about 97% of who you are, with only about 3% of you being of matter. This space or energy is considered as electromagnetic. This author has heard it called by many different names such as "inner invisible energy," (Flow of Chi) or "invisible vibratory essence," (Rosicrucian Forum 1944) but this author calls it "Mind." This means, in the authors opinion, you are 97% mind and 3% body.

The mind can be broken down into three different parts. The Conscious, (left-brain) the Sub-Conscious (right brain) and the Super Conscious (heart.) Each one of these parts of your mind has its own unique qualities and attributes, which will be broken down to you based on different points of view and complete discussion for your understanding. This vibratory force, this invisible energy, is what creates the body and mind connection. Therefore, anything that you want to do in your life, such as raise your arm, you first think it then you do it. The mind and the body work together with the Law of Cause and Effect (the concept that an action or an event will produce a certain response to the action in the form another event) and Through the Law of Correspondence (hermetic axiom: is as above so below, so below as above) knowing that all things are different but the same. For example, look at a computer and think of it as a body, and you operating it as a mind. Unless you, the mind, tell the computer what to do, it just sits there. You can use that methodology and example on all concepts of your life both physical and mental. Whatever the situation may be your body, mind work together, and operate with each other. Therefore, anything you want in your life you first think it and then the body and mind work together to create and manifest it. This is more commonly known as (mind over matter) or (matter over mind.)
