How Do You Feel About Community, Government, Family, and Faith? - It Matters

Indeed, it goes without saying that everyone believes in different things. And they generally have a number of things that they believe in. For instance, perhaps a form of government, a religion, and political party, everyone believes in something, even those who claim to believe in nothing.

Not long ago, I asked an acquaintance about this. My question was; "How Do You Feel About Community, Government, Family, and Faith?" And he suggested that I answer that question first, as he grew up in a socialistic society and country, where the people were shall we say; "Heavily Dependent on the Government" was his phrase I believe.

Okay, so, I had to think about this, but here is basically what I told him. "Surely, well, I am a capitalist, I am for limited government, and applaud human groups and communities getting together on their own behalf to help themselves, without restrictions." I went onto explain that I believe the family unit is key and that helps humans propel the next generation, it's paramount to get that right. Well as far as "faith" is concerned, I have little faith for organized religion of any type, and that makes sense as my ancestors were of Mayflower decent.

Of course, I also have Irish Blood, European Royal blood, and basic blue blood ancestry. All the Kings of the Scots are in my lines, along with most all of the kings and queens of Europe, I'm just surprised my blood coagulates sometime when I get a cut! But tossing out the family background, I am not too much into human superstition of any type. I find this to be an unworthy human trait, although understand why it is so enticing.

Luckily, we do live in a nation with religious freedom, so everything seems to work out here nicely. I told my acquaintance that, I thought he'd enjoy the United States extremely well. It is nice to see that so many different types of folks can come from so many diverse backgrounds and still all get along. Amazing indeed, what a great time to be alive, and what a great country we live in. Please consider all this.
