If you have or are beginning an internet based business then one of you big concerns is "How do I advertise my website?". I mean, if you can't answer this question then all of your hard work creating a great website, filling it with content and wrapping it around the perfect niche are all for not! Today I'm going to share with you several paid and free methods that I have used to advertise my website over the years. Here we go...

FREE METHODS

There are several free methods I have used to advertise my website and despite urban myths, free methods DO work. However, you better be prepared to do a little work and you do have to wait for your website to be indexed in search engines - which takes time. However, here are the top two ways I've found to advertise my website:

Article Writing - If you go to any of the various article submission sites out there you can do a search for authors. And, you'll find authors that have submitted hundreds, if not thousands of articles dedicated to their niche. Why do they do that? Yes, they may enjoy writing but the real reason is that their articles get indexed in search engines. And, each article is they write is wrapped around a particular keyword(s) group. So, when a person searches for that keyword, their article is likely to pop up.

The beauty of this method is that your articles will live in cyberspace forever! However, it typically takes one to two weeks for each article to show up in the search engines. So, be patient! Keep writing each day and do it without fail and the momentum will finally get going in your favor.

Forum Postings - This is the second best method for getting your message out. I found this was a quicker, organic way to advertise my website. The way it works is to identify at least five forums that are wrapped around your niche. Then, sign up for an account at each. Finally, fill out your "signature block" and make sure you put a link back to your website. Now you are ready to get started.

From here, your job is to find at least five topics per forum that you want to make a comment about. And, make sure you make a REAL comment and not just an "I agree" response. This is frowned on in the forum community and will get you banned quickly. The more GOOD responses you give the more your reputation will improve on the forum.

And, guess what? The more responses you give the more your signature block, and your website will get indexed in the search engines. Your goal is to post five times per forum or twenty five times per day. Over the years I have thousands of postings that are all advertising my website 24 hours per day, seven days per week!

PAID METHODS

Pay Per Click Advertising - The quickest paid method I use is pay per click advertising. However, this takes time and done incorrectly can cost you a LOT of cash quickly! However, if you study any of the resources on the internet you can learn PPC quickly. The great news about this method is that you can test various advertisements and you can see if they work in the next hour! You can literally have your ad in front of millions of people only twenty minutes from now. I can advertise my website instantly for mere pennies per click!

Solo Advertising - We've all heard that the money is in the list. And, that's true. But, what if you don't have a list? No problem because there are thousands of people out there that already have a list of hungry customers who like your niche. And, they are willing to allow you to send a solo email to them promoting your website. Over the years, this is one of my favorite ways to advertise my website and it can be VERY profitable.

The key to making this method work is to choose many lists to send your solo advertisement to. Then, track each method to see which works best. Finally, don't quit! If a particular list brought traffic and dollars to you then make it a regular part of your advertising methods!

There you have it, several ways I have used to advertise my website and make cash. What I suggest is that you make all four of these methods a part of your overall strategy. Typically you will get best results when you incorporate more than one selling method. Create a strategy, stick to the plan and don't give up!
