If you are looking for ways to begin your closing process ethically, you need to get your buyer in a receiving mind-set. Read on to find out how to you the power of your business card no matter what you have printed on it. You need to get your customer to accept things from you. You can start out with a handshake, but the business card is the key.
As you engage your prospect, do not wait until the end of the conversation to hand over the obligatory business card. Instead, immediately hand the person your card as soon as they start to tell you what they want. As they say "I am looking for X product," you say "wonderful, I can help you with that, here, take my card." You have begun the acceptance process. Next, as you move into the conversation, give them other things such as product brochures, information, and tool kits all related to the sale.
This gets the customer used to accepting things from you. You can also begin to ask for small purchases if you are establishing a buying relationship over time. This gets them used to spending money with you. Maybe you only sell them something that costs a few dollars, then you follow up with them later with more helpful information with no sales pitch attached.
As they get comfortable with accepting things from you, they will not be as guarded about making a purchase decision. All you have to do is begin the process by using your business card at a different time than 99% of all the other sales people out there.
