Going through blue rings, which are the rarest, grants the player with supercharged weapon while the green rings give an instant but temporary boost in speed to keep you ahead of your opponents. Added weapons include the missiles and mines which help weaken your opponents both in front and back as well as adding taste to the action packed race.
The game has a great advantage in the weapon use. So long as you have the weapon loaded in your vehicle, there is no tension caused by watching a count-down timer to when the weapon is rendered inactive. The weapons can only disappear after they are used up or when you fall off the course which you can avoid and use the weapon when you need them. You need to maintain as much as you can since most of the time you will spend in front of your enemies meaning you will not be using them often.
Another good thing about this game is that you can easily supercharge your meter. This happens when you complete a jump or drift behind your enemy cars successfully. The recharge appears as a Hot Wheel Logo which when it does you should hit the 'X' to gain the supercharge.
