Nothing against WordPress Direct, but I personally have no idea how to make any of the features work. I can't figure out how to add photos to my blog post, or how to customize my sidebars, ugh. It is so frustrating!
I found an awesome way to use the WordPress admin dashboard to edit your blog. First in the browser window type in your website address followed by a /wp-admin. You will be prompted to sign in. Once you have signed in it will take you to the WordPress dashboard.
I LOVE this WordPress dashboard. It is so much easier to use. I can customize my header if I wanted to, drag and drop elements into my sidebar, and really have total control of the look and feel of my website.
Customizing your blog is as easy as dragging and dropping the elements you want to include. The dashboard looks very similar to what you would find in a standard word processing program allowing you modify the look of your post. There are functions for font size, bold, italics, and inserting photos and videos.
Also WordPress has just about every plugin you could possibly think of available to you. You can also use it as a publishing platform. With a click of a button, you can notify your Twitter, Facebook etc. that there is a new post on your blog. How much easier could it possibly be?
I hope that tip helps you. Let's get blogging.
