In case you haven't noticed, we are living in tough times economically. Unemployment is at its highest level since the Great Depression and we've seen companies go under that we never in a million years thought would bite the dust as they have. As a result, consumer confidence is at an all time low. Where a prospect was more likely to make a purchase, now, that same prospect is hanging onto their money. Earning trust is harder than ever. This article is going to tackle the issue of credibility because ultimately, how credible YOU are will determine how well YOUR home business does.
There are many ways to show credibility. I'm going to go over just a few simple ways. The first, and probably the easiest, is to let the prospect see who you are. I'm talking about putting up a photo of yourself, preferably outside your home or car. A great photo would be to show you with your family, if you have one. A husband wife and kid photo is great for earning trust. The key here is that the prospect can see that you are a real person and not somebody just hiding behind a computer screen. Naturally, you also want to include your real name to go along with your photo.
Another way to show credibility is to show the results that you got from using whatever product or service you're promoting. Too many home business owners promote products and services that they never even used themselves. How does this instill any kind of confidence in a prospect? Let's say you're selling some kind of natural dog food? You might want to show a photo of you actually feeding your dog. After all, if you don't use it yourself, why should the prospect? If you're selling a make money product, show some videos of your PayPal and Clickbank accounts. Videos are very convincing.
Finally, you need to stand behind the products and services that you sell. By offering a guarantee that is beyond the standard, you will instill a lot of confidence. For example, for a lot of my products, I offer six month or even one year guarantees. These guarantee periods are much longer than the standard 30 to 60 day guarantee periods that most home business owners offer. By doing this, it shows the prospect that I really stand behind the product that I'm selling.
If you're just starting out, or even if you've been at this for a while, you might be noticing that it's getting harder to get prospects to part with their hard earned money. If this is the case, take a look at your credibility. Does the prospect even know who you are? Can you prove you use the product and have had success with it? Do you offer a guarantee that stands above most? If not, you might have the answers to why you're having such a rough time.
To YOUR Success,
