Engagement Rings have very interesting history, they were not always been made of stunning gems and precious metals. Ancient Greek provided the base of today's traditional rings, in their culture they introduced the ring as token of affection and love and they were given before the marriage, although it was not a pre-requisite to marriage but mostly people preferred to give rings at that time.
Ancient Roams are also known to be the most pioneers in the field of the rings. They also used to give the rings to bride on their weddings; brides were not supposed to give ring to grooms at the ancient times but later on it became a two-way exchange of rings. But the noticeable things about those ring is that, almost all of engagement rings had curved key on them, Which was a symbol of ownership of half of the everything possessed by groom.
