To somebody who hasn't experienced a panic attack breathing is as easy as counting... 1, 2, 3.  But for those of us who know what an anxiety attack feels like, we realize that our breathing can get really messed up!

My Story Horror Story

I have been there. It seems utterly weird, but for no good reason I felt like I just couldn't breathe. I felt like all the oxygen on earth just got sucked out of the air and I was drowning at the bottom of the ocean. I felt like a fish out of water or a human being under water, or both. It was nasty. Like I said, I've been there. I used to feel that way at least a few times a week!  Maybe you know what I'm talking about?

Whether I was in a meeting or on a cramped plane, or just at a weekend party, I felt these unstoppable "i can't breathe" feelings. It just took over and consumed my life, until I started experimenting with some natural therapies.

  • Cut out coffee and switch to green tea.
  • Drink less alcohol, alternate water and alcohol if you drink.
  • Begin a weekly walking regimen, at least 3 days, 30 mins.
