Healthy Eating Equals Healthy Skin

Everybody wants to have perfect skin but not everybody knows how to achieve it. Most people especially women and teenagers resort to skin whitening products but to no avail. The pimple and the blemishes just won't go away. But do you know that you can eat your way to a healthy skin? Here is a list of foods you want to eat to achieve that perfect skin.

Avocado is on the top of my list when it comes to healthy and delicious fruits. It contains vitamin B and E that plays an important role in healthy skin. Avocado is also rich in monounsaturated fats that when taken in high values can help you get rid of skin blemishes and wrinkles. It is also rich in other nutrients that fight off free radicals, substances that damages body cell and promote aging.

Second on my list are grapes. Grapes are considered to be heart healthy fruit, and also reduce the risk for stroke. But do you know that it is skin-healthy as well? Grape seeds contain antioxidant that fight off wrinkles. They are also rich in oil that can soften the skin when applied to it. In fact, most skin care products nowadays contain grapes!

Carrot is third on my list. It contains beta-carotene that when ingested can actually rest in the skin and make it appear more youthful. It also provides protection for your skin against sun damage. Lack of beta-carotene or vitamin A can cause acne, dry skin and skin wrinkles. Also, you will have twenty five percent less chance of developing cancer if you always have carrots in your diet.

The omega-3 rich salmon is also one of the healthy foods that can give you young and healthy skin. Omega-3 actually keeps your skin from getting dry because it helps in the process of retaining water in the skin (amazing isn't it?). And according to studies, this fatty-acid found in salmon also protects the skin from the sun's ultraviolet rays. That is one totally cool sun block!

And last but not the least in my list of healthy food for healthy skin is H2O or commonly known as water. Every organ and system in the body depends on water and that includes your skin. Water is your best protection against dry and dying skin. That is very obvious since water is also the best moisturizer. It also flushes out toxins out of your body making your skin clearer, younger and softer!
