Halloween in Utah is sometimes hard to plan for...it can be warm outside or you might be attempting trick-or-treating in a blizzard. But if your Halloween needs a boost, check out 5 exciting things Utah has happening this Halloween season!

1-Visit the Hogle Zoo! Sure its the number 1 tourist attraction in SLC, but for Halloween? Yes, the Hogle Zoo offers several exciting programs in October to help you celebrate Halloween. For little ones, the Zoo offers a special event, Boo at the Zoo! Kids 12 and younger can come in costume to trick-or-treat at various booths set up throughout zoo grounds. How many of you reading this can say you've been trick-or-treating at a zoo? But what if you don't have little ones...

2-Paranormal Dinner & Dark Tour at the Hogle Zoo. Interested in the paranormal? Check out the Dinner & Dark Tour and learn from the professionals. During dinner, paranormal investigators will discuss how they detect paranormal activity. There will be a slide show of various places they have investigated, myths vs. true paranormal activity and how they detect it. After dinner there will be a "dark tour" through some of the Zoo and you will be able to check out some of the equipment they use, such as infrared cameras. But there is still more to Utah halloweens than the zoo!

3-Come to the Day of the Dead Celebration at theUtah Cultural Celebration Center a community event recognizing this significant and expressive Mexican holiday. The free fiesta features a variety of family-friendly, exciting and educational events for the general public.

4-Utah boasts a lot of exciting theatre, and this Halloween is now exception! Check out Thriller on tour in Utah this season or a local show for the whole family. Lehi City Arts Council presents "Jekyll and Hyde." This popular Broadway musical will run from October 15th to October 31st. Lehi Arts Center, 685 N. Center Street, Lehi

5- Heber Valley Railroad: Haunted Canyon is a vary unique way to celebrate in Utah. Dare to climb aboard a ghoulishly spooky 35 minute ride, destination unknown! This spooky ride is suitable for children of all ages.

As you can see, Utah has a lot to offer and the Halloween season is no exception! Do something different this year and celebrate Halloween in Utah!
