Children dress up as Superman or a witch. It's all so much fun and playful. Or, is it? Can it also be a serious lesson for adults? Specifically, what can you learn from this special festivity?

Children are given permission to dress up how they would wish to be. Little girls might want to be the belle of the ball, the wicked witch, their favorite movie starlet or a character from a popular movie. Little boys might want to be Superman, Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk, or some other boyhood fantasy.

What will you give yourself permission to be? And, not just for one crazy evening. What will you allow yourself to be for the rest of your life? 

Have you secretly dreamed of launching that business and being the boss? Have you longed to launch an online business? Do you thirst for that promotion? Have you ever wished you could have the courage to be the salesman -- maybe the top salesman -- instead of the back office guy? Have you wanted to make presentations to groups of people?

Learn from the experience of the children at Halloween. Grab that courage. Put on that costume (metaphorically) and get out there. Be that alter ego that has been calling to you.

The secret is to realize that the most important step is the little first step.  Just make one little change.  Think of yourself in just one little different way.  Make a small change to your clothing.  Just begin.
