HTC's New Windows Phone - HTC HD2

The HTC Touch HD2 is a gorgeous new mobile phone from Taiwanese manufacturer HTC. Features like a massive display, 5 mega pixel camera, 8GB memory, internet connectivity and so on combine to make the HTC HD2 one of the best mobile phones in the market.

One of the first things that strike you about this mobile is the fact that the display screen is really large. The phone has a touch screen which measures 4.3 inches. This is quite large when compared to several other mobiles in the market. However, the large screen does not make this a bulky phone. As a matter of fact, it is quite sleek and stylish at only 11mm in depth. Something you can carry around easily.

The touch screen has WVGA display. This guarantees image clarity and vibrant colors. Another major feature is the responsiveness of the touch screen. It is simply perfect. It is neither too little nor too big. The HD2 has a proximity sensor which helps it distinguish between actual screen touches and accidental touches which occur when one picks up the phone. The screen also has a light sensor which adjusts the brightness of the display as per the lighting conditions. This means that you can use the phone comfortably in daylight or indoors.

This latest HTC phone works on an updated version of Windows Mobile 6.5 and offers users a great Windows Mobile experience in every way. You can enjoy features like quick messaging, internet accessibility, calendar, memo, pending alerts, Microsoft Office and so on.

Coming over to internet accessibility, this phone has 3 G broadband connectivity. The HTC HD2 has an HSDPA speed of 7.2 Mbps. This permits you to browse the internet quickly and efficiently. The phone also has Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, WAP etc. The phone has Microsoft Exchange Which permits you to access and manage all your e-mail accounts in one go. You can even send and receive attachments through e-mails. There is a My Phone application which permits you to synchronize music, photos, messages etc between your phone and the internet. You an also stay connected with friends touch networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. This new phone also has its own version of Twitter called HTC Peep.

The HTC Touch HD2 comes with a built in 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, geo tagging and other such great features. Images are clear and vivid when viewed on the 4.3 inch screen. You can also record videos using this mobile phone. The phones internet connectivity permits you to share images easily on social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter.

The HD2 has an in built memory of 512 MB which can be expanded to 8GB. You can store a good number of songs, images and videos on this phone.

Other features of this new HTC Touch phone include FM Radio, weather reports, vibrating alerts, JAVA, polyphonic ring tones, Li-Ion battery with over 6 hours talk time and so on.

In all, the HTC HD2 is a great combination of style and utility. It is perfect for anyone from the tech geek to the layman user.
