Google Scholar Needs Upgrade - New Research Paper Updates by Email
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

Information is Power and I doubt many would argue that truth in the current Age of Information that we are living in. Still, sometimes reliable and reality based information is so hard to come by. And when it does come available it is often so very hard to find. Many folks, myself included take Google News Alerts, Google Forum Alerts and Google Blog Alerts and this helps quite a bit. Yet, how can you trust what is in the news?

News items are becoming more and more opinionated, even if they claim to be un-biased and we all know that saying; You can only believe half of what you read. Sometimes, it looks like the truth is that you can only believe 1/3 of what your read in the newspaper or see on TV. I believe it is time for The Google Company to upgrade it's Google Scholar, section of the website and allow people to sign up for "New Research Paper Updates" by Email on the subjects and topics that they choose.

Why you ask? Well any scientific niche researcher heavily involved in their science does not always have time to read all those darn Scientific Journals and they stack up, worse the editors of these journals pick and choose which articles are most appropriate for the majority of their readers, but that does not really help the niche specialist, as much as it could.

If Google Scholar allowed a user to highly define their topic and scientific niche, then this problem would be solved and it would also help companies that sell research papers, which would spend more to advertise on Google, everyone wins, including me, as it takes me too long to dig for information, it should be easier to get at, when it first comes available.
