Going Back to School and Losing Weight

You have been accepted to a very exciting program at the university of your choice. It is a happy day when you get to the campus, and realize that you are finally here! All the hard work during the last few years was worth it. You are on your way.

You get to the dorm, and take in the views. You are ready to start. You have the world at your finger tips.

Then, the social events, the schedule, the work and the extracurricular activities start. You are a busy person! It is now that the realization that this is another process, another goal that you are hoping to complete and that it will be a long road to the end.

You are ready. You have made a commitment. You have the motivation to proceed further. And, to finish this goal to perfection, as you are an excellent student.

However, there are not so many positive people surrounding you. You have a really loud neighbor, and your roommate keeps drinking your tea. Your healthy lifestyle is suffering; you have not found time to food shop in weeks!

You wind up at the cafeteria, and down more chicken wings covered in a sugary sauce, fries, and a soft serve ice cream. The intended treat, brings you into a insulin spike, and you have a sugar hangover. You are suffering from the daily challenges, and this is one challenge, you wish didn't exist.

After all, isn't school and all of the complex new ideas enough? It is not fair that you have to rework your base of knowledge once again, and along side this, remember not to suffer from the problems of your environment. It is a real challenge, and one that you will always be overcoming as you go forward in your life.

Stress can manifest itself in many ways, and in this event, you are finding a stress that will exhibit itself when you get married, start a family, find a new job, retire, and start a new life.

You must adapt to this stressful situation, and maintain your commitment to yourself. Both in your education and in your healthy lifestyle choices. You will find yourself having to say no, when things become overwhelming, and dealing with emotions on having to make new choices.

Keep your head up! Your positive nature has gotten you this far, you have found a way to keep your commitment to your goals-you are motivated, you have pledged to yourself that you will not ultimately fail. Remember, you can have failures, but it is just a bump along the way.

Do not despair, and work up the courage to find that positive turn on any event, and you will control the beast. You are a powerful force of progress, and nothing can stop you in the long run.

So, get yourself to a grocery store, find the healthy, natural choices that you know you love. They will be a tool that you will use each day to tackle the stress of this new environment, and be sure to call home.
