When you start to feed your baby solid foods many mothers have questions such as how much should you feed them? How often should you feed your baby solid foods? When do you feed your baby solid foods? These are general questions and all of them are very important.

In the beginning when you start to introduce rice cereal you only feed your baby to cereal once a day. You can make a decision on when best you feel this should be. But, it needs to call solid which your schedule also. Many people choose to get this with the final bottle at night time or breast-feeding in the evening depending what you are doing. Once reasons for this are that this kind naturally helps your baby to sleep a little bit longer. Because it is denser than milk your baby will feel fuller for longer so may sleep longer at night time.

When you start to feed your baby solids this slowly decreases the number of bottles that are required or if you are breast-feeding the same is also true for this. This has a knock on effect so that night feedings will start to decrease slowly. This is also good for parents and baby because their night's sleep will be uninterrupted.

When you start to feed your baby cereal you start off with a tablespoonful of cereal and you make this mixed with breast milk until the mixture is very tin. You start to introduce this to your baby slowly by first selecting them taste it from a small teaspoon/baby spoon. It can sometimes take your baby a little bit of time to get used to the idea of taking solids remembered they have never done this before everything before this has always been put so they need to take their time and you need to have lots of patience when you start to introduce solid foods into their diet.

It's always advised to start feeding your baby solids in a car seat or baby seat so that they are tilted back ever so slightly. You should never put them in a high chair because they are unable to support the weight of their head. One of them at a slight angle similar to a car seat so eager use your car seat or a baby seat so that they have a slight incline.
