I've been toying with a new way to generate content and it seems to be working pretty well, so I thought I would share it with everyone.
If you ever get stuck wondering what to write about (I think we've all struggled with writer’s block at some time or other), consider using this idea.
Go through the alphabet one letter at a time. Think of all the words that start with that letter and how those words relate to your site concept/subject matter. Here is one example I wrote to promote my resume site:
Four R's of Resume Writing – Relate (your resume to the position you are seeking), Research (the company so that you can relate your qualifications in a meaningful way), Refresh (any boring resume words with vibrant, energetic action words), and Read (your resume several times to spot errors).
The next article may be the Six C's of Resume Content – Create, Control, Clarity, Change, Choose, and Compose
Or Five P's for Resume Perfection – Plan, Prove, Precise, Promote, and Provide
Get the idea? Once you get your mind in the groove, you can generate ideas all day long. It’s easy and it’s fast and it gets you to think about content in a whole new way.
Use a dictionary. Have fun. Be creative. Most of all, keep writing!
