Getting a washboard stomach is a dream for many men and women. However for most of us it stays a dream because we are not committed enough to our goals. Sure we're doing our very best in the gym but getting a washboard stomach requires more work then just working out a few hours per week. In this article I will show you the basic steps how to get a washboard stomach in three months or less. Perhaps you have some stubborn belly fat right now but you can get rid of it if you follow my plan exactly.
Your breakfast may be unhealthy
The first things you need to do if you want to lose stomach fat is to take change your breakfast. If you eat bread, cornflakes and drink a glass of fruit juice then you can honestly say that your breakfast is making your fatter. Do not focus yourself on what other people are doing. Most people don't have abs or a flat stomach so you need to do things different. Drinking a cup of tea and eating a piece of fruit is a good start but far from enough. Make sure you include all macronutrients in your breakfast and do not drink fruit juices. Processed fruit juices are very unhealthy because they contain refined sugars.
Ab exercises will not help you
Popular abdominal exercises that specifically target the stomach are the least effective way to get a washboard stomach. Full body workouts are your secret weapon in your fat loss quest. A great example of a full body workout is rowing. It works out the back, the abs, the arms and the legs. Keep in mind that working out hard in the gym is not an excuse to let yourself go on your diet. You will only see results if your nutrition is correct. Outraining a bad diet is simply not possible.
Avoid foods with artificial sweeteners
Artifical sweeteners are claimed as "healthy" and can be found in a lot of products. Think about youghurt, pudding, ice-cream and in almost all reduced-sugar products. However the reality is that they actually make you fatter.
They can increase your appetite for sweets and therefore you will eat more during the day. Due to the stimulation of high insulin levels in your body they can promote fat storage. And it gets even worse artificial sweeteners are linked to headache and potential cancer risks as well. If you are serious about achieving a washboard stomach read food labels and know what they mean.
