- Scoliosis. This is a curvature of the spine. When younger persons have this, the pain will not be felt until they reach mid-life.

- Pregnancy. When the baby inside the womb increases in size, the mother's back, as compensation to the growing baby, is pushed forward causes much pain at the back.

• Infection. Infection such as osteomyelitis, an infection in the vertebrae causes a real big deal of back pain.

Avoiding about the pain in the back is also a need for us to know since it can be applied both in home and work. This includes the following:

1. Use legs rather than your back to lift things.

2. When carrying heavy object, carry it closer to your body.

3. Whatever you pick on the floor, always bend on knees and never on your waist.

4. When work requires long standing, take time to rest one foot at a time on a small stool.

5. When sitting for a long period of time, make sure that you are in a relax position with back fully supported by the chair.

6. After a long days work, give your back time to rest on your bed with a medium soft and firm mattress to maintain the spine into its normal alignment.

7. Sleep with your back flat on bed.

8. Engaging in regular exercise is very important as it helps strengthen your muscles.
