Galaxy Quest - A Space Age Comedy For All Ages

A popular TV show similar to Star Trek named Galaxy Quest is picked up by a local alien ship which is perceived to be historical documents. The aliens are the last of their kind and are seeking a hero to help them reclaim their planet. One day they come to hearth to convince the leader of the TV shows ship to come and help them. Tim Allen thinks it is a huge joke that some overboard fans are playing on him. However, he soon warms up to them because they seem fascinated with everything he does. Tim decides to introduce the alien fans to the rest of his crew where agree to go with them.

A few moments later they are meeting the leader of the alien ship and are given the details of their enemy. At this point the actors from the show don't want to let their new friends down and fear what will happen to them if they tell the truth, so they go along with helping the aliens. Tim Allen soon notices that the ship he is on is identical to the set for the TV show. Tim then does some negotiations with the enemy Sarris who demands one of the weapons from the show. There is only one problem. The weapon was only mentioned on the show so no one knows what it does or what it looks like.

Soon the ship is attacked, which forces the crew to pick up a new power conductor on a near by planet. They barely make it back on board only to find that the enemy leader has taken over their ship. He forces the actors to be truthful with the aliens, which causes all the aliens to lose hope. The enemy then sets the ship to self destruct. Will the actors survive? Watch and find out.
