If you want to gain serious muscle mass quickly, know that it is not impossible. If you are considered a "skinny guy," there is hope for you. You just need desire hard work and commitment. In this article you will read tips to help you become buff. First step to gaining mass is lifting weights. Weight training is important if you want to get that buff physique. You can't build strength from body weight exercises due to the fact that you can not create resistance.
When you are lifting weights if you can do more than 10 reps of something that means you do not have enough weight on your machine. This will not help you gain muscle mass quickly in anyway. When you do more reps of something lighter you are turning on what is called a slow twitch. These fibers in your body have the least amount of growth potential. You need to challenge your muscles and activate those fibers that have the maximum amount of growth.
Now that we have talked about reps we can move on to sets. You only need to do about three to five set per muscle group. The first 2 sets you should use about 80 perfect of your effort the third and fourth sets about 90 percent of effort and the last set you should be using 100 percent of your effort. Start by choosing a work out. After you start doing this decrease the amount of time you do the work out but still do the same amount of work you are increasing energy and making more muscle. Move quickly from one exercise to another, and shorten your rest time. You need to push your body to the max.
Each muscle only needs one specific exercise. If you do the exercise properly and challenge that part of your body it will develop growth and put more lean muscle on your frame. If you do additional exercises on that muscle you are doing nothing but damaging it. You will be very sore and tired when you first start, but you need to force your body to adapt to these changes. Once you start you can not stop you need to increase the demand on your body. Keep increasing don't stay at one point for too long, or go back down.
Remember you are working on muscle mass not strength. You will obviously build strength when your muscles increase but there are different workouts that need to be done that involve building size. Make sure you are writing down the activities you do and how much weight you are lifting everyday. Then increase the weight by five percent every 2 or 3 weeks. This will show you how much you have increased your strength. Also you can see how much mass you have gained if you measure you muscles every week or two with the weight increase.

Eating right is also an important task. Make sure you are in taking enough calories. The main body building nutrient you need is protein. Good foods before a work out are chicken, turnkey, fish, and egg whites. You shouldn't eat right before you work out. Drinking protein shakes can also be very effective and helpful.
