A child has a naturally creative mind. As Pablo Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." Children are always thinking of creative solutions to problems and seem to be born with the natural ability for abstract thinking and spatial reasoning. However, many academic programs and academic curricula have a methodical approach to learning that can often stifle creativity in a child. The problem then for parents is how to foster that creativity and keep it alive as a child grows while still teaching them all that they need to learn in math and sciences.
