Here is a breakdown of the method:
- Sign up at one or both freelancing sites
- Select a project you like, bid on it.
- If you are winning bid, complete the project.
- Get paid
Sounds hard? Well it isn't. All you are doing is offering your services to someone that is in need of them, and you get paid for it. There are a huge range of projects that you can complete, ranging from article ghost writing to website/software creation and loads more. What kind of service you offer all depends on you and your personal talents, but the best projects and the kind I recommend you focus on are the content writing kind. However, if you are skilled in other areas such as copywriting or software creation, by all means bid on these type of projects. They will have a much higher payout than content creation type projects such as article writing, but they may require more time for you to complete them.
With that being said, I recommend you start out with article ghost writing or something similar. Content creation is the easiest type of project to complete, and once you've completed a few projects you will be able set up your personal store front (profile) and show case your products and services to potential buyers. This can create direct inquiries which will save you bidding on products, plus you can set your own price! Also, your rating goes up when you complete projects.
So starting off with the easier projects allows you to not only make some quick cash, but you will also be able to raise your rating quickly. Thus, you can get more people to buy your services and you can request a higher price for them! The price you can charge may vary depending on your rating. The higher your rating the more you can charge per project. Plus it is a lot more likely for the buyer to pick a bid from a highly rated freelancer. So start off easy and build up from there.
The 2 best sites to sign up for are Elance and Rentacoder. Rentacoder is free and although it has a wide variety of projects that you can bid on and complete, this site tends to have more software/website creation type projects.
Elance is a much better choice for easier projects. They have a massive range of content writing projects that need fufilling, so I recommend this site over Rentacoder. On that note, while Elance offers a free option, it is very limited. I recommend you sign up for one of their paid options. They range in price, but the $9.95/month plan should be more than enough for you to get started making some good cash. If you don't want to pay straight off the bat, just sign up for the free plan, complete a few projects, then after you've made some money, upgrade your plan to a paid option.
Freelancing is definitely one of the easiest ways to get started making money online without any investment. Elance and Rentacoder are both good sites in their own rights, but if you're like me, the bidding aspect of these sites might turn you off a bit. If so, you're in luck because I have a secret weapon that I'm gonna reveal to you that absolutely blows away the previous 2 sites when it comes to easy cash from freelancing!
