Format Your Emails Properly For Additional Profits

Expert Author Chris Litmon

Have you ever read a book that was just full of long, drawn out text that was hard to read? Or maybe you've received an email from a fellow marketer that was not only boring, but also hard to read.

Sometimes the way you format your email copy can affect the profitability of it. People hate reading long blocks of text. They also hate straining their eyes just to read what you have to say. It's very frustrating to say the least and no matter how persuasive your email copy might be, you should avoid it.

What you need to focus on is keeping your paragraphs and sentences short. As a rule paragraphs should be no longer than three to four lines long. Also you should keep your paragraphs no more than four inches across the page.

This encourages people who are in a rush to read your email all the way through. The quicker they can get to the links leading to your sales page, the faster you'll make profits. Now there are some other things you need to consider as well that not many marketers think about.

You must avoid using grammar that is not fit for your audience. Words that are too big or hard to spell might not go well with your email subscribers. People are of varying educational backgrounds and might find your messages hard to understand and read. Stick to grammar that a fifth grader would understand. Now of course if you're in a niche where your subscribers readily understand certain grammatical terms, then it wouldn't hurt to include them in your email copy.
