What is a fork truck? A fork truck is a powerful piece of machinery which is used to lift and transport heavy loads of material in the industrial sector. The forklift truck was first created in the 1920s by a number of different companies, and now the forktruck is probably the most important machine used in warehouses and distribution companies. It is imperative that the proper training is given to the member of staff who will be operating the fork lift truck for failure to do so can result in accidents happening and people becoming injured.

Forklift Parts

Many companies use forktruck hire companies rather than buying their own forklift truck, this can be for a number of reasons but usually it's because it is more economical for the company to hire rather than to buy. Not only can the actual fork truck be hired but attachments and parts can be hired as well. Such fork lift parts may include sideshifter, rotator, fork positioner, roll and barrel, clamp attachment, pole attachments, carton and multipurpose clamp attachments, slip sheet attachment, drum handler attachment, man basket, and telescopic forks.

Searching for a Fork Lift Hire Company

The best way to search for a forklift hire company is to look online. Simply go to Google or one of the major search engines and type in the search term 'fork lift hire' and a whole host of websites will appear on screen. This allows you to visit each of the websites and contact the fork truck hire companies directly to receive a quotation and to obtain further details. It is recommended to gather several quotes from different companies before choosing your forklift hire company, this allows you to compare the prices and the level of service ensuring you are receiving the best money can buy.
