It may be true that there are many places to shop for plus size women. Unfortunately, not many share the open notion that size does not matter. There are still prejudices with regards to weight. There are still people who stick to the idea that being slim is the basis of beauty, while being oversized is otherwise. Because of this, women with full figures are still not free with regards to their freedom of fashion.
Although more and more people are becoming open to the issue of weight, there are still some people who are closed to the idea. For example, there are still girls who believe that being thin is being cool. Because of this, they force themselves to skip meals, thinking that they still need to lose weight. As you can see, this has a great effect on their psychology. While this is happening during their youth, it can cause great impact on their adult life.
In relation to this belief, some plus size women feel even more conscious about their appearance, not realizing that they are beautiful in their own way. They are reduced to thinking that being overweight is wrong, when in fact their numbers are growing. Women should not be allowed to feel bad about their selves. Instead, they should be proud of what they are, no matter what size or shape they are.
All in all, whether or not a woman is plus size or not, they should not be given a reason to feel bad about their selves. This should start in clothing. Fashion has always been regarded as something which people can express their selves in. We should always remember to forget size when it comes to fashion.
