Following a Healthy Schedule For Longevity of Life

We all like to lead a healthy life for as long as we live and prefer our lives to be as long as possible. Science has helped us immensely in achieving this by increasing the average life expectancy from 35 years to 70+. To live longer and stay healthy in our old age has become our prime motto. This can be achieved by following some very simple steps known to mankind through ages:

Have a Good Night Sleep: It is very important that your mind and body get adequate rest. The sleep time varies from person to person but the general rule is to sleep as per your body's needs. This is the time when the body regenerates and repairs the tissues and the mind records all that has happened in the day in the form of long term memory.

Physical Activity: Do some kind of physical activity. Join a Gym, walk up the stairs, do household chores or just play with your kids. Any physical activity that accelerates your heart beat and increases your breath actually makes your heart and lungs stronger. Exercise not only makes you look thinner with toned body, it also makes you feel good and positive by releasing endorphins in the body and thereby fighting depression.

Eat Right: Use good quality fuel and your car will last longer and better. Similarly good food will complement your body and bad food will ruin it. The secret of eating right is to eat in moderation and at regular intervals. Avoid fatty foods (especially those that contain trans-fat), eat food in its near-natural self like fresh fruits and vegetables, salads, beans, sprouts etc.

Avoid Stress: One of the worst enemies known to human is stress. We all deal with some level of stress in our day to day life. To manage stress effectively you need to follow a healthy lifestyle. Think positive, eat healthy, take ample rest, do some activity, pursue a hobby, laugh a lot, mix with people. These are just a few tips to keep your stress at bay.
