1. It's Going To Take Me Years To Learn
There couldn't be anything further from the truth. Yes there is surely some studying to do, but the great thing with marketing online is that you can learn as you go. In other words, don't sit back and try to learn everything there is to know about online marketing before you start applying some of the things you've already learned. First of all, with the rate at which things change with technology, if you took that approach, you'd have to relearn everything by the time you finally got started. Also, there are countless ways to learn. You can enroll in course, get relevant books for self-study, etc. Again, just jump in and get started. The best approach (in my opinion) would be to find an active successful internet marketing coach who's already doing this for a living and let me... I mean, let him/her (smile) coach you and show you everything you need to know be profitable online. Nonetheless, the best way to learn is always "behind the wheel".
2. I'm Going To Get Rich Overnight
By now, we should all be aware that anything that sounds too good to be true probably is. Now, don't get me wrong...I'm not saying you can't do extremely well for yourself financially. I'd be the FIRST to tell that marketing online can LITERALLY change you and your families' life. However, what I AM saying is that it DOES takes work. Anything worth having and anything that has the foundation to survive the tests of time....will and should take work and effort. So, if I were a new online marketer, I would not go into this looking to get rich quick. I would recommend coming into to this great field of internet marketing knowing that I will surely have some work to put in, but in doing so I will surely reap an amazing harvest for it!
3. The #1 Benefit Will Be The Money I'm Going To Make
This is one that I probably love to correct the most. While, "yes"...the money you can make (both in the near future and onward) is a great thing...I feel that the most valuable thing is the new skill-set you will inevitably acquire by doing web marketing. With a solid skill-set from internet marketing you will be positioning yourself to... earn a reliable living... on your own terms.... whenever you want (or need)....AND from wherever you want to be (as long as there is internet connection). To me, that's an EMPOWERMENT that you just can not put price on.
4. I Won't Ever Really Make Any Money Doing This
Now, I never like to say things like..."you can earn this or that much money" because everybody's different. You might not work as hard as the guy who did the things necessary to earn that six figure income. You may only do enough to earn $50K...or less even. Whatever the case, please understand....the opportunity for ANYONE who is serious about earning a real income as an internet marketer...is indeed REAL! How much? Well, that depends on the you.
5. I Can't Rely On This Like A Real Job
To avoid repeating much of what was already said, this one can also be best answered with the response given for #4. Whether or not you can depend on marketing online as a main source of income depends on you and how much time & effort is put in to learning and putting what you learn into action. One things for sure, if you start out thinking (& believing) you won't be able to rely on your new internet business the way you really want (and probably need to), then chances are you will probably end up making that very unfortunate belief of yours come true. And that would a tragedy given that there are millions of people earning amazing incomes and taking care of their families doing JUST online marketing.
