If you're a beginner dog trainer then it is usually a good idea to go to some sort of training class with your dog to begin with. Even if you only go for a short time to learn the basics you'll find that training becomes a lot easier. In this article I'll be going through some of the things you need to think about when choosing a training class for your puppy or dog.

You first need to think about the amount of one on one training you're going to get from your trainer. While having other dogs around for your dog to get used to is a benefit of a training class that isn't the main reason you are there so make sure the classes aren't too big. Around 10 dogs is about the limit in a class and you should try and aim for no more than 5 or 6 dogs per trained otherwise it will be difficult to get any one on one attention.

The best way of finding any sort of class is to ask friends and family where they have gone and liked. If you find that someone you know has used a dog training class for the same level of difficulty as you and found it to be of high quality then definitely have a look at that one! However it is always a good idea to ask to sit in on a session before you sign up to make sure you know what to expect and that the teaching is good enough for you and your dog. Dog training schools are not just a good way to teach your dog the basics but also to help you learn the best methods so take your time and make sure you get the right one.

Dog training is a difficult task, but you can find some more tips at dog training tools and search dogs training.
