You know that you are in debt, but do you know what the biggest form and cause of that debt is? In most cases, it is credit debt - regardless of the things that this credit is being spent on. Americans learned early on to rely to dependently on credit cards, and this dependency has created a very unhealthy financial situation for most American families. When the recession hit, you may have seen the entire situation from a 'gloom and doom' standpoint, but in reality, you should be rejoicing. This is your opportunity to get out of credit card debt - and if you are smart, you won't ever let yourself fall back into the credit card trap again.

The recession has made it necessary for the credit card companies to work with their customers to settle debts. If you think that you are in financial crisis, you should take a closer look at the financial crisis that these credit card companies are in. We can all agree that these are evil corporations that didn't ever care a thing about what they were doing to us financially - and in reality, most of us could care less about their financial situation as well. But we can use their current financial crisis to better our own financial health - just as they have done to us in the past.

Because these card companies received stimulus money, they are essentially required to work with their customers to settle debts. You don't have to pay your credit card balances in full to settle the debts. You will need to stop using and relying on the credit, of course, but you can also just pay a small amount of what you owe, and the credit card companies can use the stimulus money that they have received to pay the rest of what you owe.

If you want to take advantage of this bad situation, to make something good happen in your own life, you definitely need the services of a good debt relief company. You can get out of debt, and break your dependency on the credit card companies all in one fell swoop.

If you are at least $10,000 in unsecured debt it would financially behoove you to talk with a debt settlement company. Creditors of unsecured debt are scared and as a consumer you should capitalize on this recession and eliminate your unsecured debt.
