  • Motivate yourself - It is very important to be motivated when you want to lose fat. Writing down your reasons for wanting to lose fat and having incentives in place when you reach your goals will motivate you.
  • Set goals - Setting goals will help you to plan how you are going to lose fat.
  • Kick your bad habits in the curb - Try to identify and eliminate your bad habits that may keep you from achieving your goals.
  • Rid your cupboards - Go trough your cupboards and fridge and clear all unhealthy foods out and fill it up with fresh, healthy foods.
  • Eat 100% healthy - Healthy foods are much lower in calories and fat than unhealthy foods, so try to stick to those.
  • Limit/avoid take-aways and sweets - Sweets and take-aways will only stand in your way of losing fat. Try to limit or even avoid them.
  • Don't skip breakfast - Be sure to eat breakfast every morning, it will help you to control your appetite.
  • Start with exercise pronto - If you are not already exercising, just check with your doctor and if you have the green light start with exercise immediately.

  • Cardio interval training - The best cardio for fat burn is cardio interval training. Aim to do it 3 times a week for 20 minutes at a time.
  • Lower body weight training - Weight training is also excellent for fat loss. Aim to get 2 workouts in a week - one upper body and one lower body. Great lower body exercises includes squats, lunges and calf raises.
  • Upper body weight training - Great upper body exercises includes upright row (for your back), bicep curls, tricep extensions,chest press and shoulder press.
  • Get more active - Aim to do more active things every day, like walking more.
  • Don't stress - Try to find positive ways to de-stress, as stress can cause fat to be stored on your tummy.
  • Drink green tea - Green tea may help to speed up fat loss and it can also help your body to store less fat.
