Fat Blasting Workouts - Nutrition For Visible Abs

Expert Author Shawn Jacob

From what I see on a daily basis, one of the most common fitness goals people have is to get a flatter stomach and if possible, achieve some sort of a visible "six pack abs" appearance to their midsection. Unfortunately, most people struggle for years without ever achieving this goal due to wrong workouts. Here are some few tips that will help you as you work out for that six pack abs.

1. Structuring your workouts the proper way

For proper fat blasting, you have to know how to properly structure your workouts. To have a flat belly and visible abs, you need to stop wasting much of your time doing various abdominal exercises such as hundreds of reps of crunches, leg lifts and torso twists in the hopes of "reducing" your belly.

The truth is losing belly fat does NOT occur by doing exercises that target the stomach area. If you never knew, slow cardio workouts also are actually a waste of time if you want to blast fat out of your body.

The fact is the real solution to bringing out visible abs is simply bringing your body fat % down to a low enough level to where the abs becomes visible. Most people already have a six pack hiding underneath their stomach fat and do not know it.

2. High Intensity Resistance workouts.

For a successful long term fat loss, you have to dedicate your time to high intensity resistance workouts which will get you sweating and huffing and puffing much more than any boring cardio workout ever will.

To actually achieve a visible sick pack abs, you need to quit the tradition of using stationery equipments such as treadmill, elliptical machine, or stationary bike. Try substituting your traditional cardio with anaerobic exercises such as wind sprints, hill sprints, swimming sprints and speed rope jumping. This type of training stimulates a vastly higher metabolic response in the body than steady pace cardio.

3. Watch your eating habits

Your eating habits actually determine if you are ever going to lose that belly fat and get a visible abs. The first thing you need to realize is that "diets" only work against your body in your effort to lose the stomach fat. If you follow any of the fad diets like extremely low-carb or low-fat consumption, most of the time you lose lean muscle and lower your metabolic rate. This only makes you fatter in the long run, when you start to eat normal again!

To get a lean body without fat hanging around your belly you have to get enough quality protein in your daily diet because it is a building block for maintaining and building lean muscle... And remember that the amount of lean muscle you carry is one of the main factors for controlling your metabolism.

Also, try to avoid refined sugars and refined grains as that is one of the main reasons so many people struggle with body fat.

In general, a good balancing of your workouts and eating a diet that is made up of nutrient dense foods in their natural state will be of great assistance in getting visible abs.
