Fast Fat Loss, Motivation

Expert Author Bill E Schneider

 Staying Motivated

One of the best methods I have used to help stay on track and maintain a steady reduction in weight is the use of visualization.

At this point you are already following your nutritional program and have written your goals down on paper so that you can read them daily. You are on your way to fast fat loss.

Now you should take a few moments to sit upright in a comfortable position, take a few deep breaths, and let your body totally relax. Close your eyes and develop a picture of yourself as you will look when you have met your goal. At this point don't worry about whether you actually see the picture or not, just focus on the thought of having met your goal and how you will look. After practicing this for awhile, a couple of times a day, the actual vision will appear. The more you practice it the easier it will become for you to just take a moment and see the image.

You can really bring your imagination into play and feel great about yourself. Visualize yourself at your goal weight knowing exactly how you will look, doing something that you have always wanted to do. Actually visualize performing the activity and feeling the joy and happiness involved. BELIEVE you are there!

I try to take a couple of minutes three times per day to look at this little play that I have created in my mind. I find it works well sitting on the edge of the bed in the morning. Occasionally I will look in the mirror and smile at myself because I look so good, close my eyes and visualize. While at my desk I find I can just lean back in my chair and close my eyes and feel good.

In the evening the last thing to do before retiring is to visualize how good you look and feel now that you are at your goal weight.

One of the key ideas that I use to stay on track is a quote from Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, ( Act "as if.")
